Mobic is the market name for the drug Meloxicam developed by Boehringer-Ingelheim.

It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used for treating symptoms of Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, in the capacity of an analgesic, fever reducer and anti-inflammatory.

Serious and potentially fatal cardiovascular effects. Patients with known heart problems may be at greater risk.

Hypertension and blood pressure problems.

Fluid retention and edema. May cause fluid retention or heart failure.

Renal papillary necrosis and other renal injury.
